With Workers’ Compensation, a company’s experience modification factor can be seen as a cholesterol level, so our Loss Control Representative, Michael Schedler, works to minimize financial heart problems by helping to control the claims that do occur. More importantly, though, he works to reduce avoidable accidents, keeping your employees safer.
Among other qualifications for his work, Michael, with over twenty-nine years of insurance experience, has achieved the following:
- Associate in Claims
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter
- Associate in Risk Management
- Cal OSHA Certificate-General Industry
- Senior Claim Law Associate
- OSHA 501 Trainer
- Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers

- Written injury and illness prevention program(IIPP), as required by SB 198 and enforced by Cal OSHA
- Written hazardous substance communication program as required by federal and state occupational safety and health regulations
- Pre-employment screening techniques
- Proactive Employer-Employee relations program to reduce the submission of frivolous and fraudulent Worker’s Compensation claims
Michael also refers clients to sources of safety-related information and materials on the Americans with Disabilities Act; assists in the investigation of work-related injuries, accidents, and near accidents with advice regarding corrective actions; and provides information and assessment of changes in law affecting employers with regard to Worker’s Compensation benefits and other related matters. Essentially, he is a valued messenger of safety and bearer of goodwill in the workplace.
